This artwork is for the "Brotherhood" contest hosted by #AllArtSupport
"Until my unification.. I, Gilbert Beilschmidt, will bear arms with these blood stained hands to protect my brothers, my country... The country of PRUSSIA."
My interpretation of the meaning of the word brotherhood is for the loyalty, the determination, the commitment of those men in the midst of war. They bear arms and kill to protect something more broader than just their country, they bear arms to protect their friends on the battlefield, their family at home.
